-Gone to Delta-

They say there are only two true American art forms- comic books and the blues. And my friends, I am nothing if not an American. Two of my favorite examples of these are found in Ennis' Preacher series and the music of Bukka White.

Both deal with religion, sexuality, repression, the nature of violence, depression and the roles of men and women and both do so against a backdrop of the South and the sometimes lop-sided morality it embraces.
